High Street Camp

Great day at High Street Camp at Willesden Library – amazing venue – but apparently soon to be demolished according to Willesden Green campaigners present at the event …they say huge loss …. council officer present says big improvement …..

Excellent session with Anne-Marie Naylor from the Asset Transfer Unit who told us many, many useful facts and figures about Asset Transfer which will be invaluable to Rooms of our Own in the future. Also heard from Amy Leader about the asset transfers at Hebden Bridge; the community there has managed some incredible achievements.  www.hebdenbridgetownhall.org.uk

Went on a visit to some pop-up shops in the afternoon at Queens Parade with Living Streets and the Glasshouse

Mary Portas dropped in at lunchtime – does she buy her sunglasses to match her hair or dye her hair to match her sunglasses I pondered….

Met lots of interesting people and many cards exchanged.

Also a lovely lunch was provided!

Great day….
